The mirror I gaze A riddle stares back It's eyes bloody red It's cutis pitch black I leave for the years Weather the seasons Fighting mental wars None without reasons I earn my scars well I flaunt them in pride From hell to heaven I've had quite a ride hat hung on the wall I'm home after years Fought many battles I've faced many fears Back at the mirror And now a man stands Brown eyes open wide Few scars on the hands Now in full circle This tale has revolved I know who I am The riddle is solved

Hardship and adversity  A mind of diversity  Heart ache and pain  And walking in the rain  Seeing the beauty in ugly  Seeing the ugly in beauty  By hating yourself  By loving yourself  By starving yourself  By indulging yourself  Making friends that are fake  And friends that will be at your wake  After all of this you will know it  That you have acquired the soul of a poet.

Winds caress the fields  Dancing the taraxacum in the breeze Gliding over the emerald grass Meeting the turquoise of the bay. They can shoot at me all they want. Bullets from them hurt not one bit, Amounting to less than cotton in breeze. Blades of spring grass will cut me Long before their verbal ignorance. Spears of wheat shall prick me Long before the barbs of foolish tongues, And the dullish heads they slither in. Like puddles on the sidewalk they fade, Leaving oily dirt and grime afterthoughts. They run out of canvas, then run out of gutter. Like an ocean I flourish, toil, and churn. Life and diversity are housed well within, Then I'll run out of canvas, When i run out of universe to create in.
